CVS Distribution Workers Choose To Unionize

Spurred by the chance for affordable health benefits and gaining more respect on the job, employees at the CVS/pharmacy distribution center in Patterson voted to unionize during an election last week, a labor representative with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters said.

Hoffa Leads Rally in Support of Workers at Coca-Cola, Atlanta Southeast Airlines

(ATLANTA) – Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa joined hundreds of workers from Coca-Cola and Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA) as they held a huge rally today at the Teamsters’ Atlanta headquarters. The union is engaged in historic organizing campaigns at the two Atlanta-area flagship employers.

Pasco County Government Workers Rally for a Secure Future as Teamsters

(Port Richey, FL) – Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa led a rally today attended by hundreds of Pasco County government workers who are working now to form their union with the Teamsters so they can achieve a more secure future.

Durham School Bus Workers Ratify Teamster Contract

School bus drivers and monitors with Durham School Services in Kansas City, Missouri, have ratified their first Teamster contract, gaining improved wages, leave time and a say in their workplace. The 308 workers joined Teamsters Local 838 in February.

Teamsters Local 683 Welcomes 7UP Members

They sell 7UP products to supermarkets and shops, but they didn’t need to be sold on joining the Teamsters. By more than a 2 to 1 margin, 18 account managers with 7UP in the San Diego area recently voted to join Teamsters Local 683.

Missouri First Student Workers Ratify Teamster Contract

School bus drivers and monitors with First Student in Jefferson City, Missouri, have voted to ratify their first Teamster contract. The 112 workers who organized in October achieved a strong Teamster contract after a final 16-hour negotiation session.

Local 135 Racks Up Four More Organizing Victories

Local 135 continues to set the bar when it comes to organizing. Over the last 60 days, Local 135 has gained bargaining rights and/or won NLRB elections for four companies operating in Indiana.

Republic/Allied Waste Recyclers at Local 396 Win Strong, First Contract

Recycling workers in Anaheim, California have unanimously ratified a first contract that significantly reduces the cost of their health insurance, provides solid pay raises and many other improvements.

Mission Linen Drivers Join Teamsters

Drivers with Mission Linen in Chino, California, recently joined Teamsters Local 952 in Orange. The 34 drivers, who primarily deliver linens to restaurants and hotels, united for respect and fair treatment on the job.

Midwest Transportation & Logistics Workers Join Local 330
July 30 -

On July 28, drivers who haul garbage to transfer stations and landfills, voted to join Local 330 in Elgin, Illinois.
